Global Climate Confusion...

I've just received confirmation of something I've had a feeling (intuitively) about for quite a while after reading Adrian Gilbert & Maurice Cotterell's book "The Mayan Prophecies" where they correlate the Mayan Calender prediction for 2012's end of an age with the sun's solar cycles.
Humans might have contributed their bit , but inherently it has been a natural cycle, as was the cycle of the hole in the ozone layer...

Our limited lifespans lead us to make snap judgements based on very limited information (time scale wise) of things in our neck of the woods. The Mayans obviously invested a bit more time and got a fuller and bigger picture!

Yes, we DO need to look at how we are damaging the planet and we better change our ways, because we do have an impact  - please watch The 11th Hour,  if you haven't already - and take note of the biomimicry part especially, that's what we're supposed to be doing instead of wasting so much energy manufacturing things the long way!


And just to make you think a bit more, I received the following pictures in an e-mail. I don't know if it is a hoax or not, but if it isn't, it certainly makes you think...

The e-mail said that it was Cape Town after the storm the first week in July that covered our mountains in the biggest layer of snow we've had in a couple of years... UPDATE: It wasn't (I found that it was posted in 2006 and is somewhere in Russia) but look at this and hope that we never have to experience flash freezing...
